Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the radiometric index NDVI for elaboration of a thematic map, which presents the real situation of vegetation in a stretch of Lavapés River, inside the domains of Lageado Experimental Farm, located in the municipality of Botucatu-SP, using techniques of aerophotogrammetry and photointerpretation with high resolution images collected by UAV. The images were obtained on July 17th, 2018, through MAPIR Survey3W RGB and Survey3W NIR/InfraRED sensors, both with 12.1 Megapixel resolution, aboard a 3DR SOLO multirotor UAV. The images had 80.00 % of overlap and sidelap, Ground Sample Distance (GSD) of 3.5 cm and processed using Pix4Dmapper 3.0 software, for construction of the orthomosaics. The NDVI result provided a clear transition among biotic targets (vegetation) and abiotic targets (water, soil and buildings), and also among the vegetation itself, with greater vegetative vigor, making possible the distinction of arboreal vegetation, in relation to herbaceous vegetation. The images with high spatial resolution collected by UAV, demonstrated flexibility of use, having high potential to mapping landscape dynamics and the spectral response of vegetation.
